Cosmos Candy Stripe Seeds – Heirloom | Non-GMO | Field and Forage Seed Co. – 100 Seeds
With petals kissed in watercolor-like streaks of pink and white, Cosmos bipinnatus ‘Candy Stripe’ brings painterly beauty to the garden. Native to Mexico, these daisy-like blooms sway on tall, feathery stems and thrive in heat, drought, and poor soils—making them a go-to for low-maintenance pollinator patches and wildflower meadows. Their cheerful contrast brightens any garden, and their resilience makes them ideal for beginners and seasoned growers alike.
Planting Instructions:
Start seeds indoors 4–6 weeks before your last frost or direct sow after danger of frost has passed. Sow ¼" deep in well-drained soil with full sun exposure. Germination typically occurs in 7–10 days. Thin to 12" apart once seedlings are established. Deadhead regularly for extended bloom time.
Ornamental Use:
Cosmos Candy Stripe is a stunning cut flower—tall, airy, and long-lasting in vases. It creates height and movement in borders, looks dreamy in cottage-style plantings, and is a favorite for butterfly gardens.
